UQ Background- What we do
The Upper Quartile (UQ) exists to deliver intelligence and insights that add value and depth within the strategic growth plans of UQ customers. Established in 2015, UQ has been quietly building a reputation across multiple sectors that deliver support and substance relative to key decisions that Executive Boards and senior teams have begun to rely upon. Insights are within, but by no means restricted to, such areas as M&A activity, new business wins, account retention strategy, new market entry strategy and marketplace reputation to name but only a few examples.
Alaster Siddle, the founder of UQ, has exclusively aligned with a combination of global academic institutions and UK research centres to add intellectual horsepower into the UQ insights and intelligence reports. This collaboration results in an ability to create a bespoke insights package designed to meet the specific needs of each UQ customer.
It is important to stress that The Upper Quartile approach accords with best-practice compliance set out in guidance for ‘gold standard’ Anti-Bribery and Corruption legislation, notably the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and United Kingdom Bribery Act.
UQ pay particular attention to the way we collect, analyse and present information as well as how we train our team. Our approach also draws on expertise throughout our global network.
UQ stake our continued reputation on the high degree of confidentiality linked to the insights we deliver. To further support our customer relationships, upon signed agreements, UQ agree to not work with others within the same sector or geography. This removes the possibility of conflict of interest and promotes a truly open, transparent relationship.
Insights are gathered from sources ranging from public domain declarations and comments through to interviews and exchanges with leading personalities, suppliers and customers from within the relevant industry sector. The growing reputation has resulted in the UQ customer reach extending outside of the UK into such countries as France, Germany, USA and Australia.
The Upper Quartile works with customers across multiple sectors and multiple geographies. UQ are proud that since 2015, the remit of support valued by customers has expanded. In most cases, UQ become the exclusive insight and support partner for the company, across multiple business units.
